All About Health Remedy’sRx has become one of the few retail pharmacies in Canada which integrates natural health products with conventional medicine. I have my certification in Nutrition and Wellness from Canadian Fitness Professionals, and have designed integrated consultation programs for people with chronic conditions focusing on physical activity and nutrition. I have also received my personal training certification from American Council on Exercise and have been a Certified Personal Trainer.

I attended the last two Pharmacy U conferences in Toronto. Attending some of the workshops gave me a sense of excitement and validation that we are doing what we can to enhance patient care and expand our practice.

This year will be our fourth year offering flu shots to our community. All my pharmacy staff are involved in identifying Meds Check opportunities. We are revisiting our workflow after attending one of the roundtable discussions on putting pharmacist at triage. All the “outside the box” services we provide differentiate us from the other 13 pharmacies in our small community of 38,000 people. The knowledge I took home from Pharmacy U conferences has helped our pharmacy solidify the position as the destination to health and well-being. I plan to attend the upcoming Pharmacy U Conference in Toronto.
