This just in…EnsembleIQ purchases Pharmacy Practice+, CanadianHealthcare Network.ca, eCortex.ca

EnsembleIQ has acquired Pharmacy Practice+, Profession Santé, Québec Pharmacie, The Medical Post and other allied brands from Canadian media and communications company Rogers Media.

The deal is part of a larger acquisition of business-to-business media assets from Rogers Media, including Canadian Grocer.

Korry Stagnito, newly named president of EnsembleIQ-Canada, led the transaction. Stagnito has also been appointed EnsembleIQ’s chief business development officer and will spearhead the company’s future merger and acquisition activities.

According to a press release, the acquired brands provide a strategic complement to EnsembleIQ’s Canadian brands that include Pharmacy Business, PharmacyU.ca and Your Convenience Manager, as well as EnsembleIQ’s U.S. media titles that include Progressive Grocer, Shopper Marketing, Retail Leader, Convenience Store News and The Gourmet Retailer. Profession Santé:

Read by French-speaking physicians and pharmacists, Profession Santé is uniquely positioned within the Quebec healthcare sector. With new regulations in Quebec, the need for common-ground communications between pharmacists and physicians has never been greater. Content is targeted to issues addressing each profession, including healthcare system news, legal, new prescribing mandates for pharmacists, compensation, clinical information and education.

Québec Pharmacie:
This peer-reviewed French publication written by pharmacists for pharmacists is recognized for the scientific rigor of its clinical content, accredited by OPQ. Launched in 1953, Québec Pharmacie is the only one of its kind in the area of continuing education for pharmacists.
